I wanted to take a quick minute today to let those of you in Ottawa know about a really awesome event that is coming to town December 12. It’s a local artisan food fair called LAFF – or Locavore Artisan Food Fair. There are going to be some really wonderful food vendors from Ottawa and the surrounding area coming together for one day only to promote their products, let you do a little local Christmas shopping all while supporting a great cause – the Ottawa Good Food Box.
So come on down – buy some yummy local artisan Christmas gifts (even if that gift is just for you!) And meet some of the amazing local food vendors that make Ottawa such a unique and colourful culinary destination. Did I mention that admission is FREE?? Well it is.
Where: Crichton Cultural Community Ctr – 200 Crichton Street 2nd Floor (use Avon Lane entrance) – New Edinburg area
When: December 12 – 10am to 3pm

So disappointed — that’s the day of the week and time our middle boy normally does dance in that building, but this week his class has been moved elsewhere. We were excited, thinking we’d be able to go but won’t be able to. Poo!

Ottawa Locavore Artisan Food Fair committee
Thank you again very much, Jodi, for this write up. Despite the bad weather, it was a HUGE success!
To let you know, due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances with the Ottawa Good Food Box (the beneficiary of Sunday’s Ottawa Locavore Artisan Food Fair – LAFF), the raffle and charitable donation did not take place. In lieu of this donation, the Ottawa LAFF committee has given a substantial food donation to the Men’s Mission (35Waller Street) & Empathy House (360 Sunnyside Avenue).
