Today’s challenge is a little cheeky. With all this talk of cooking and food we can forget the unglamorous side of all of this – the mess. The challenge today: Shoe me a picture that represents your messy kitchen.
As Hubby has commented on more than one occasion – my kitchen often resembles a train wreck. I’m told I’m quite talented at making a mess!

I’m not too bad when it comes to my kitchen. Except when I cook for a lot of people. Here is a picture of a Burns Night we had in the UK. There is stuff everywhere: Scotch broth, neeps and tatties on the burners; haggis in the oven; beer, dirty pots and pans and everything else on the counters. It was a good night but cleaning up was a b****.

Because we don’t have a dishwasher (seriously, the bane of my existence), I feel like I am constantly doing dishes! I try not to let them pile up but I feel like there’s always something left to wash. I also find that not having a DW can sometimes prevent me from preparing certain meals because I don’t want the massive clean up afterward!
So here’s my pic to represent my kitchen:

Here is a picture of dishes from tonight. This is probably one of my cleanest nights!

Most night when I cook, my girlfriend would tell you the dishes look more like this!
