Sadly yes few of Canada’s best wines don’t make it out of there local areas. I was in Victoria this past spring and was delighted with Burrowing Owls Merlot one of the best reds I have had in Canada. I just moved to Ottawa from Alberta and would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be able to go to an event like this – I’m a HUGE foodie and Wino and the wines you guys get here (Niagara Region) are so different from the ones we get out west and I’m just dying to try them out…..This would be a great chance to do it. As a student, not much opportunity arises unless it is the right…um…$….cough…cough….haha so being able to attend an event like this would be so great! Also, I’m itching to get in to the food/wine scene here in my new city! Good Luck to All!
